Doing Business With CUNY
Women and minority entrepreneurs will learn about business opportunities with The City University of New York at an event on February 27 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sponsored by CUNY, it will be held at Baruch College's Newman Conference Center at 151 East 25th Street in Manhattan.
Called "CUNY Is Opportunity: Doing Business with the Nation's Largest Urban Public University," the free event will inform attendees how to become New York State-certified Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) vendors and how to do business with CUNY. Workshops will help participants navigate the certification process and the CUNY procurement process. In addition, a "Market Place" made up of representatives of CUNY's 23 colleges, graduate and professional schools, and affiliated programs will provide participants with information about specific business opportunities. Business owners will also be able to network and market their goods and services directly to the CUNY purchasing representatives.
Participants can register at www.cunybiz.com. For further information, please contact:
